its weird i can send an invite and he tried to accept. then he sees me but i have no visual for him or audio.. he's using the most recient windows app.
any ideas

Most Windose based Video IM apps don't work well with iChat.
Go to the Apple download site (click on the Blue Apple Icon > Mac OS X software...) and try the free Skype, if not already in Applications. It's way better than most IMs and the video and sound is spectacular.

AOL works with yahoo and msn buddies, so u can download aol or yahoo or msn so that your friedn can add u to chat with you.

yahoo webcam works for me when sometimes all else isnt working....
so u could have video from your webcam, and audio from elsewhere...
