To accept that you smiply don't know all of the answer to a question when it comes to religion.

or

To blindly accept everything as is and twist and turn the meaning and context to make it fit so as to provide an answer based on a limited source?

Neither. Faith is only required, but must be followed up by immediate analytical meditation on the subject in question in order to obtain understanding of the point/subject (or not).

The first one. Whenever a question concerning the Bible is asked, every answer is different. Most are based on speculation. This only makes non-believers and people questioning faith more cynical.

Obviously the 1st. This is the closest to scientific thought. Science doesn't claim to know what preceded the big bang--for instance.

Religious people can't prove the bible is the inerrant word of god; I've talked to many theists..Bottom line is that it 'comes to faith', when they run out of answers.

This may be fine for some, but not me.

i don't think that either of those require a whole lot of faith.

for the first one you need to be honest with yourself, and a little humble to admit that you don't know everything.

the second is self serving.

bright blessings to you

Hebrews 11:1 (New International Version)

Hebrews 11
By Faith
1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

THIS is what faith is.
