This question was asked a year ago and even after searching the internet, I haven't found the answer. I thought I would ask here and also give them a call. I live in quartz Hill, CA.

I have heard a lot of debate about whether or not we (EBT cardholders) should be allowed to shop at a warehouse club. I believe if it is cheaper to stock up on bread, canned goods and other basic food items, that it would be worth paying the "club fee". I have to stock up on lunch items and homemade dinners for my children and it would be great if I could do it there.

Well I can't vouch for Costco cause I don't have one in my state but Sam's Club doesn't take EBT (or at least the 2 in my city don't) Heck my Sams Club doesn't even take debit cards! It has to be Discover Card, Check, or Cash! NO JOKE!!! I always find it strange and annoying cause I'd figure since they were owned by the same people that own Walmart they would accept all forms of payment that Walmart does.

Best thing to do is call Costco or Sam's Club and ask. I doubt you will be the first person to ask them that question. I agree with you it is SO much cheaper to shop at the bulk food stores than at a regular grocery store.

No, I don't think they take EBT cards. It's best to give a local one a call.

Usually it's Cash/Check, Debit or their Club credit card.
