You can't see the Wind right?
Can you feel it?
Do you believe it's there?
You've probly answered YES to every one of these questions so I'm going to ask you some more...
If you believe in something that you can't see are you crazy?
NO....You KNOW it's there, you feel it you've seen the leaves blow about, the snow make drifts....ect
It's the same with God. I can't see him because he's a spirit, but I will one day see the human form, Jesus in heaven. I can feel God's presence, I can see what I accomplishes in peoples lives. I talk to God, and he answers, he leads me. That is why I believe in him. I believe in the Bible and that it is true, because it is. Scientists have found proof all around the world about noahs ark, the crossing of the red sea, ect... so if all those stories are true than why isnt the rest??...IT IS so sit down and read it one day. Hey, what have you got to loose? your eternity? your soul? your happiness? God isn't a FairyTale.

You're right. There should be no pride in ignorance. I think a lot of people just don't question what they were taught as kids. That's why the church loves indoctrinating the youth. Sunday school, vacation bible school. Get 'em early and you've got them for life. It's a damn shame.

are you happy?? I'd rather be happy & ignorant, then well.. you. Maybe one day you will have faith. I can't see air , but I know it's there. Everyone doubts some things sometimes, even christians who regularly practice their religion, but the doubts fade and their faith grows stronger. every once in a while something may strike me as odd, but I just don't think about it, and its usually a minor detail

Faith is a form of obedience to authority, something that is always highly valued by those who actually are the authorities. Truth has nothing to do with it: being proud of one's faith is saying that you have overcome your rational mind and caved in to social convention in order to fit in with the crowd.
PS to all the amateur philosophers who think not being able to "see the air" is the same thing as not being able to see a deity: Air is detectable by other objective, physical and verifiable means, such as breathing and feeling it!! Jesus, how lame can you get ??

I can't believe I'm agreeing with primoa, but he's right. I would not have faith in a fairy tale. But I try to have faith in the Living God of Creation.
And doubting is normal. If it makes you think about God, it is not bad. If you believe that, you've been listening to too many wild-eyed fundamentalists. That's never a good idea, dude.

If a person has faith then obviously they don't think they are believing in a fairy tale. That is your own personal belief and mostly the belief of those who don't know anything about faith.

First permit me say i like this question very a lot. between the main theory upsetting i've got seen yet. talking in easy terms for myself: a guy or woman who's now now not "training" as in Church going, yet did attend Catholic college for some years, and became additionally raised contained in the religion, i think that is all in line with potential. faith is often black or white, you the two have it , or you do now not. some human beings lose their faith, yet maximum individuals of the time, in case you have faith you often have faith. faith delivers potential. It delivers the flexibility and skills to stand customary stressful circumstances with gusto! It additionally keeps you humble. Believing that there is an more advantageous ability keeps you from turning out to be an egomaniac. It prevents you from dropping potential of will besides. now not unavoidably out of concern, yet greater so out of reverence. Out of understand for the all helpful. in case you have faith in Jesus Christ, it additionally lays down a ethical code so which you would be able to persist with. And maximum individuals of the code has to do with having morals, and being a sturdy guy or woman. It facilitates society rather than hurting it. i'm very proud to be a ethical guy or woman. i do now not seem down on "sinners", greater generally I pity them, and that i'm basically grateful for being the way i'm, because of fact i won't think of myself any diverse. to permit you recognize the fact, it became by no potential rather stressful for me to settle for my faith. I totally understand human beings's argument against it. each and every little thing from the huge bang/evolution concept to the argument "nicely you won't be able to see God, there is not any tangible info" blah blah. basically positioned, i'm very observant, and whilst i seem around I see a lot splendor each and on a daily basis, that its impossible for me to think of all of it befell by utilizing twist of destiny. i think with out morals there would be chaos. humorous how further and further everybody is appearing like atheists in this us of a, and does not lots of human beings say this us of a is falling to products?? lolllllll i ought to write a lot greater, yet frankly i'm sleepy. desire you detect the answer you're finding for.

I don't know of a single Christian who has claimed they were "proud" because of their faith, dear one. Faith is God given, something to be cherished, for sure, but there is no reason whatsoever to feel pride, for that would be FALSE pride.
Perhaps you just THINK we are proud of our faith, hmm? The only thing I'm proud about are the quilts I make, and even then, I see my own faults in them, so my pride in them is very slim.
God bless!
