You're not removing the hair, just cutting it short so when it keeps growing, that itchy blunt tip is there. Shaving is nice but for a longer lasting, less itchy effect, you could try waxing. Yes there's a bit of pain involved but your new hair comes back thin like baby hairs and you'll only have to do it like every other week. It's an option many women enjoy more than the old blade.

Shaving just gets the hair that has grown out. Hair continues to grow; hence; stubble

Use a hair reduction deoderant (it softens the hair)
Use a good quality shaving foam / cream / gel (not soap)
Buy yourself a decent (non-disposable) razor and some spare blades. PS. Mens razors work REALLY well too.

It can only shave the hair down to the surface. That means that you will see the top of the hair and if you push you will feel the top of the hair.
you need to wax your underarms

Shaved against the hair,,not downwards and it would help if you put a hot wet flannel under your arms first,,this will help to open the pores and the hair comes out easier

you might want to check your razor and see if it's dull, if so just get a new one. try using body wash with your shaving or shaving cream it might be problem with lubrication. try stretching the skin and shaving the hairs in the opposite direction they grow in.

Because it's impossible to get a close shave under your arms. You can never get the right angle because of the concave nature of the zone. :)

You need to soap it up with soap while taking a shower and use the bic razors. Matter of fact, any razor will do the job, just make sure its a new razor.

It depends on how corse the hair is but many people suffer from that. Your only option is to try better razors or opt for either electrolosis or waxing.
