The throw-aways I used to get had 3 settings: normal, 10x4 and one inbetween.They used 35mm film.

No disposable camera takes 10" by 4" pictures. They are ENLARGED to that size from the 35mm film. Check out the specs for the dispoable panoramic cameras you find in the shops. As long as the width to highth ratio is right, you will be fine.
