I have a friend and she looks so good for her age and I mean pretty and in good shape, better than most thirty year olds! She is in her mid forties but looks in her early thirties. On an internet dating site she put her age as early thirties. This is because most guys specify they want a woman under forty. On the first meeting with a guy, she always tells him her real age so as not to mislead him. What do you all think?

Many people lie about their age or weight (and more serious things like whether they are really single and unattached!). It is obvious from some men's photos that they are lying. I've seen pics of elderly men who reckon they are younger than me!
I sometimes think I should say I am ten years younger than I am because I wonder if people don't believe my pics are recent!
So I understand your friend's motives but it is a bit risky. Her lying might be a problem if the man is looking for a woman able to have children. How do the men react when she tells them her real age?

A lie is a lie. I wouldn't have respect for her. She is misleading people by posting an incorrect age to begin with.

people find out anyway. lies do not help. a lie could hurt her in finding the right one. I understand why she did it, but I am sure that she will find someone because you said she looks nice. good luck to her.
