My 16 month old son likes spinning around in circles. He's very normal, very social & friendly. He's always smiling and likes to be around people. He has no other weird behaviors but sometimes he likes spinning around in circles. He isn't talking but it seems he's really trying to say something, he babbles all the time. Should I be concerned that this is an early sign of Autism, his Dr don't seem too concerned.

Yeah I wouldn't be worried about it. My 19 month old still turns around in circles. The only thing that worries me is that he turns around until he is really dizzy and bumps into things. He also didn't start talking to where you could understand him until he was around 18 months. Some kids just like to mumble and babble. I wouldn't be to worried about autism right now. You should treat and work with him the same right now anyways. He sounds like a normal 16 month old boy to me. Have fun and enjoy the times.

My son is just about 16 months and he's been fascinated with spinning in circles for about 2 months now. I notice he does this when he's tired or slap happy:-) I sing "ring around the rosey" when he's doing it. He's got it down packed to fall down at the end!

Spinning toys or objects in circles is sometimes a symptom of autism - not spinning oneself in circles. I would be concerned if a child rocks incessantly, but not circles - that's a sign of a kid who is using their body well and exploring what it can do.

spinning is a behavior of autism, not an early sign, however many do not spin at all, and there is many more signs than this in order to worry it's related to autism.

kids do like to spin :)
