I have had a TBI and live with an abusive husband that would rather do drugs and not pay anyh bills or buy food. I need alttle bit more of mentoring help to find afordable housing and or such things like that. I have called all the shelters and government agencies and they are of no help because they do not understand brain damaged people. Their services don[t help peoples like me. Earlier I posted a question and all people told me what to do but I am not that understanding of how. I do not want someone to take care of me I just need someone to help me find the right place to look and survive. I have my own money every month and again I am not looking for a hand out. Julia said that to me earlier and that hurt me so please try to be a little more compassionate.

Since you are in an abusive relationship you can get help from any domestic violence facility. I will give you a ling to ncadv and you can use that to find a shelter near you and help you get on our feet. Brain damage not not, there is no excuse for domestic violence!! click on the buttons for resources and getting help and you should be able to find someone to help you. Good Luck!!
