Aren't you judging people by calling them "judgmental"?

I believe there is only fear or love, things that we fear, we judge. Rather than focusing on the differences we should be showing love and an attempt to understand each other.

I try to do this, and I think deep down all of us try. However, in some circumstances I still find myself judging. Even judging myself.

I've heard some people judge and then call it discernment, like they are only protecting themselves. So, I guess the fear is in that we won't be protected which makes me believe that all judgement, and fear comes out of a lack of faith.

Blessings!.

People have a need to feel superior to someone else. The weaker the person, the more the need.

The difference is simply saying what the Bible has to say and not ourselves. Judging others is the standard by which God will judge us if we are stupid enough to do this. By using the Bible, we are saying what Bible standards are. That is how we are to be.

People require division. To many , it equals accomplishment.

By judging , they can make a definite separation between themselves and others, good and evil, better and best.

We are taught to judge. To compare. This is not always negative, but most use it as an excuse to create sects and divisions so that they can feel better about their own "progress: and others "failures".

We as humans make judgments about things and people almost constantly. Just because it's a judgment doesn't mean it's bad nor does it mean that it's wrong. Thankfully we're all free to form whatever opinions we like about whatever we like.

The word has gotten a bad reputation by people who simply want their opinions accepted as fact with no questions. But in most cases it just means to form an opinion by discerning and comparing. That isn't a bad thing.

i guess it's because we suffer from being "human"

we grow up with a certain set of values, beliefs, practices and sometimes bigotry. When we see someone with opposing values, beliefs and practices there are those that get angry b/c they haven't been taught that there are other good people from different cultures that practice different beliefs.

Some are intolerant bigots and others have forgotten to teach their children that very relevant and important part about other families which practice different faiths etc...should be respected and are "good" It all starts at home

a world filled with hate and evil. If we lived in a more simple world again I think people would be less judgemental but this Earth has gone to hell... especially america on the judgemental part.... I am american too.... its all about money prestige and love is not a priority when it should be our reason for living............money blinds and the power with it changes minds and they forget and think they are better than another person...................

It is easier on their ego to project than it would be for introspection and analysis of their own dearly held beliefs. The great thing is that both sides of this argument will think I am talking about the other people.

to a certain degree we all have to judge others. it's a matter of safety.it's probably some primitive instinctive thing happening.
on the other hand i do hate when people point fingers at others, because no one is perfect.

The devil is an accuser
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
