Does the RN program including prerequisites take 2 years?How long does it take to complete prerequisites and how long is the actual Nursing Program.I believe Credit hours for Prerequites is 54 hours and the Nursing is 108.Sorry kinda new at this

In general, most people take 18 months to 2 years to complete their prereqs for the ADN programs, then they have the 2 year ADN program. Some people complete the program faster, but it usually takes approval to take classes faster than the norm. Different schools in different states count their hours using multiple credit counting methods ie quarterly, quarter hours in semester periods, semester hours in quarter periods. Therefore, it is hard to compare hours on here.

At this point, given the amount of preparation required for an ADN program, and the fact that you spend virtually the same number of hours and the same amount of time and money. I don't understand why anyone would get an ADN if they could get into a BSN program.

You end up with a higher degree with more job prospects for the same amount of work.
