Because they are only Christians by name, not by practice, Christians by religion but not by faith.
Most Christians are Christians because their parents had them baptized as Christians so they don't really have a full understanding and appreciation of their religion.

Wow, I don't know any Christians who do say that, but if they did, I might call them out on it. They're not supposed to use God's name in vain and it would make them look hypocritical.
