The best game I play in Photography class is simply called:

"WHAT IS..."

In this game we photograph something in a closeup... very close, and then again in a wide angle shot. First shown is the closeup and people will guess what the object is. Then we surprise each other with the wide angle.

Students take extreme close up of subjects, and the rest of the class try to guess what it is.

Points awarded to the student that fools the most people. Additional points awarded for students that guess correctly.

Well, if you're looking for an assignment that is fun the students could take pictures in nature/architecture, etc. that resemble letteres of the alphabet. See who can get the most a-z.
