I am working as a secretary and would like to feel as if I am doing my part, as I feel in my current job, I'm not really needed. However, I don't feel confident in my abilities and do feel guilty that I might be leaving my colleagues in the lurch, if one of them goes on holiday or is sick, then they would have an extra burden on them. I don't know what I can do, but I feel useless and sometimes v. depressed when I am at work most days.

Perhaps you could try archiving as a librarian, you would have to get a masters in it though, but it is a great job. I wouldn't feel bad about leaving a job, you have to remember that it is just that.....a job. Do what makes you happy, you can still be friends with you colleagues with out working there. They should understand that you have to move to bigger, better, and more fulfilling things. Just write a very Jazzy resignation letter.
