Dengue fever does not present with diarrhea. It presents with severe pain in the limbs, headache with pain behind the eyes, backache and sometimes, abdominal pain. The pain is severe and so, it is also known as breakbone fever. There is fever, usually high grade. There may be bleeding spots in the skin and mucous membranes, and sometimes blood in vomitus or stools. I think you have simple gastroenteritis and not dengue fever.

I don't think you have dengue fever. You would be too dizzy to even stand up, let alone be at the computer or at work. If you have a high fever, your balance is off, and coughing blood, then you have dengue. It seems like you could be getting the flu.

When I was on vacation in the Philippines, I got ill with dengue fever and was hospitalized for a week. Needless to say, it was the worst near-death experience I've felt. I had two IVs, one on each hand. I had a tube that had to be inserted into my nose, down my throat and esophagus to reach my stomach. It was the only way to get the blood out. I had an oxygen tank to help me breathe. I constantly had a temperature above 102. I felt extremely weak and fatigued. I was 12 at the time.

Go to the doctor and check it out. If you do have dengue fever, unfortunately western medicine doesn't have the knowledge on how to treat them.

Your symptoms sound more like an intestinal infection. If you live in the US, you cannot get dengue fever unless you've traveled to South or Central America, or visited the western Gulf of Mexico in Texas.

the only way you will know for sure is if a doctor diagnoses it. You will require medical treatment, the sooner you see a doctor, the easier and more effective the treatment will be.
