to some extent... i would be careful bringing up those sort of jokes around atheists in real life unless you know they're cool with those sort of jokes, and if you accept people making jokes about what you believe in as well.
You also have to understand that a lot of atheists are very scientifically and logically minded people who take their beliefs very seriously. In other words you probably pi**ed off a bunch of geeks on the Internet however you should not generealise from this.
I'm an atheist myself and I actually find your joke funny because I can see the humor in it. However if you used it in the wrong situation with a tone that was implying that you were being serious, then I'd probably find it offensive as well.

There is nothing wrong with liking or loving an atheist. Just so you know, most Christians were atheists before they were Christians. At the very least they were rebellious people who disobeyed God and certainly didn't trust in Jesus Christ. If only Christians could like or love Christians, there would only be one and that would be Jesus Christ.

You do realise that it's not 'atheists group' that decides what gets removed, it's the Yahoo Answers moderators. If you answer was interpreted as a flame by a mod then it'll be removed.
Basically, if you're gonna joke around, make it look like a joke. There's too many people seriously telling people they don't like to go to hell, etc and really meaning it.

I am an atheist, and I have been reported for much more innocent things than that. It seems there is a crusade on YA. I have started reporting more believers, because they report me for nothing at all. I used to answer them, but if they want to report me, I'll report them too. There may be a legal battle eventually here. I will not allow anyone violate my First Amendment rights. Your answer repeated here was insulting and dumb, but I won't report you this time.

Knowing that we are dealing with each other in the written word I think it is proper to clarify that you are kidding if in fact you are. You ask about humor, but the body of your questions says, " because i answered a question with what i beleive(sic) in".
"Is that an abusive content from my part?"
By your own words yes

Well I wouldn't have reported it. But a lot of theists are quite serious when they say it. I get at least 4-5 emails a week that say the same thing. It gets annoying, although I still think it is funny.

Well, if you believe you can find atheists in hell, you must not be a Christian since the Bible is clear that the unsaved remain in the grave until the judgement, at which time they are consigned to hell.

aaaaaand just HOW do you know it was an atheist who reported you...? Not like there aren't a few on here that report, but really- what indication do you have that it wasn't a Christian who didn't like what you had to say? Censorship is more their thing, not ours.

*shrug* Everyone reports everyone on here.
Try asking a queston about Mormons or Islam and see what happens. I bet it gets your account suspended rather than a simple deleted question...

I guess somebody in Yahoo thought it was.
Don't feel bad, I have had just as senseless abuse reports.
