Last night I went over to his house. He was calling himself my dater friend. I was like what is that? Then he said "what do you want to call me?" Was he trying to have the talk with me? He calls everyday and there only a few days we don't see each other during the week because he has night classes. I have already met his parents.

Awe, he's shy! He's trying to ask you to be his girlfriend...you know...make it official.

Talk to him about it.

It sounds to me like the cute, nervous thing a guy would say when he wants to ask you out but is too shy to come out and say it. It seems as though that's the way he can define you two at the moment- dating and friends but you two haven't made the official leap yet. If you've already met his parents, that is a substantial step for most people AND you spend practically every day together. I think this was his way of taking the first step towards approaching you on your relationship. You can wait and he'll probably get to "the talk" or just ask him straight out. Good luck!

It sounds as if he is not quite sure of you or of himself. He
doesn't know where you want the relationship to go. It seems
as if he is waiting for you to take the lead. I don't know about a guy that has to wait for the woman to make the decisions. But then some women like to be the leader! Just take your time and get to know one another better. I have never heard
one described as a dater friend.

Maybe "Dater-Friend" is some new category of non-committed relationship title that allows men to use and leave women without much concern. ("After all, we were only dating friends, right?"

He wants you to define your relationship, whether you two are just friends who spend too much time together, or exclusively dating as bf and gf.

Don't be soo dense! lol

Hope this helps!

First of all, "The Talk" is when a parent talks to their child about sex. Secondly, you are his girlfriend, just get used to it.

Whats "the talk"?

That sounds different from "the question", are they related? Is he trying to let you go gently?

I think he wants to know where your relationship stands and where you're going. Is he your bf or what?

Sorry, "the talk" is too vague. Which talk are we talking about?

The "I have HIV" talk? The "I want to be a woman and need you to help me" talk? The "Gee, is your sister available" talk?
