25%-30% I would set up a fund for the families of soldiers killed in Iraq. As of now all the family gets is $6000, half of which is taxible, a $100-$3000 burial allowance and $833 per month until spouse remarries with $211 for each dependant child til they turn 18. By contrast, each family that lost a family member in the World Trade Center attacks get on average 1.8 million dollars. This is paid out with a fund set up by our government. Anyone see a huge discrepancy here.

It would all depend on what charity I was involved with at the time and what their specific needs were. I would give as I saw fit at the time.
I would be interested in helping with underdeveloped countries for their health care and schooling needs. I would also be very interested in literacy programs right here in the US.
There are many other things that I would be interested in working with, but I would have to do it as time would permit as well.
I don't believe in just throwing money at something...I believe in actually physically being there working with the program, although financial contributions would certainly enter in.
I would like to give a really substantial amount though, because if I were MEGA rich, what else would I personally need? Why couldn't I contribute a large amount of what I had to others with nothing?
