You didn't give much information to the asker, so perhaps people thought you were just giving an uninformed opinion instead of a fact-based answer.
The evangelical fundamentalist will always thumbs-down anything that smacks of approval for homosexuals. Though, honestly, why they think that anyone would choose to be gay (if such a thing were possible) with all of the abuse that one would suffer, is beyond me.

I was expecting to see some obviously horrible ignorant answer so I could rag on you a bit LOL, but I did not see any such thing. Perhaps it was your "I don't know" regarding about salvation. At least you didn't condemn them like 'Jesussaves' did, who from his answer to this very question, seems to be proud of his judgmentalism and his even greater number of thumbs down. People are who they are and one's natural mannerisms are not easily hidden, nor should they be. We are not on this Earth to please Mr. Jesussaves and other homophobes.

Probably the word "some" offended people. Meaning that some people are born gay while others choose to be gay...
The salvation thing could mean that you dont know if they could be saved, but I think you didnt know about how homosexuality plays into a person being saved or not being saved.

Not everyone who's gay is born gay, some are gay due to molestation or exposure to porn at a young age. Not the majority, but it happens.

beacuase it is difficult to understand for some ppl that god deosnt have the same plan for everyone as are in different spiritual levels , and we all need to learn in different ways.gay people , who prefer the same sex , are this way because god just have soemthing different for them , and he doesnt care about sexual preferences when it comes to salvation .
