I was saying how pretty the stars were and a friend said, "All of this is just an expansion of God?" What do you think he meant? Why do you think this? If used please give reference. I am very intrested in any expansion on the bible and the unused books. Note: this friend is a very educated man and was not speaking lightly or off the cuff, so to speak...Just Searching.

Just because science has not yet explained everything does not mean that "poof" God made it.

When he said the word GOD your friend was referring to both the grand, societal concept of the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscent being that many people believe purposefully hand-crafted the universe exactly as it appears today AS WELL AS his own personal concept of GOD which may or may not harmonize with the societal concept. Probably what forced you to ponder the answer further is the fact that your friend was correct both for himself and for society...which by definition includes you.

When someone else speaks an ultimate truth we know to be true for all the universe it resonates in more than just the three physical dimensions by which we define our physical existence, it resonates with our very soul...and the by-product would have been the chills that spread throughout your nerves at the same moment he uttered those words to you...if you want to return the favor, go up to him and tell him how much you agree with what he said, and that upon further reflection you have realized that both time and space are man-made concepts that neither GOD nor anyone else ever intended to stifle or constrict our lives...and now you feel so much freer having answers to questions that most people strive their entire lives only to give up hope of ever understanding...hope this helps...

Whatever we do, shows who we are. A fine craftsman shows a part of himself in his work. So does God in His works of creation. The universe, solar systems, mountains, trees, plants all show the craftsmanship of God as well as qualities of the Creator. A lover of variety, of beauty, order and of balance are some of these qualities.

He meant this is all a bit big and scary and would take a lot of thought to figure out, so I will say god did it.

I sort of understand what he meant.

God created the entire universe.........and the heavens declare the glory of the Lord.

All we need to do is look around at the creation....and know that God had His hand in it.
