just head up to a *****'s sporting good or any sporting good store for that matter. they always have pretty decent sets of cheap beginners clubs. They run from like $150 to $300 and they still play pretty decent. good luck!!

I would suggest going to something like a Dick's Sporting Goods and talking to the PGA Professional on staff. They will probably start you out with a set of cavity back irons which are easier to get in the air and you can buy them relatively cheap now especially from a store like Dick's or any other sporting goods retailer. I got my first set from a pawn shop when I was young and gradually moved up in quality clubs.

I would highly recommend Ping Eye2 irons (black dot) off of ebay. These are relatively old clubs, but they are still the most popular irons ever made. I would highly discourage playing with a cheap set of irons, as you will become easily frustrated becuase they are not made well.
If you go onto ebay, you should be able to search them our and find a lot on there. Speaking from personal experience, they held up quite well over the years, are very forgiving and are priced quite reasonably for the quality they will provide.

Buy the Paradise SWEET SERIES II set. It comes with a bag, driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, and 3-P and a putter. Also note that the 3, 4, 5 irons are all hybrids. It's about $349 and the perfect starter set.

this guys are totally wrong!as i can see you really wanna learn and i would recommend a better clubs means " a bit more expensive sometimes its much better to buy expensive than cheap cuz you could save more money! get what i mean?? in the long run im sure those cheap clubs will be stock in your garage. and for sure you will look for a better one.i myself bought a 550 dollar clubs they are good but im still thinking if i could have a much better clubs i would more like my game as i want change my driver cuz its too flexible then i switched to stiff ones which is cheap about 90 bucks i thought i got what i want but after using it for a while i feel garbage for it cuz there is much better clubs than that.."IF I JUST KNOW A 150 BUCKS ADD UP TO MY OLD CLUBS WOULD BE REALLY SUCH GREAT THING TO ME THAN BUYING A BETTER ONE NOW FOR 700 WHICH WILL ADD UP TO THE COST OF 1230g THEN I SAVE MY SELF A 550!!!".. iBUT i would recomend before you buy clubs go to someone who knows the game.
price range you should buy are not below 400 total plus the bag and a complete set but you could also buy a not complete set. here is what you need "DRIVER, PUTTER, 3 WOOD, PITHCING WEDGE, SANDWEDGE, 7 IRON ,9 IRON AND OF COURSE A BAG" so if you change your mind you save about 7 clubs in total. thats about half the price of the complete set..so if the complete set is 700 bucks if you buy the half it would be only 400 for me its better than buying a cheap garbage set of clubs im sure you dont want the sounds of a can hittin a rock! a good quality sound for driver is like a ping sound "high pitch".thats all for today good luck..

A lot of these guys are wrong. Go on ebay and find yourself a decent set of PINGS. It should be around 200 or 250. Don't just get any cheap set because most suck. Then find an ADAMS driver. It should be around 65. ADAMS for fairway woods to. Hope this helps

I would try to spend less than $300 and get hybrids. Buy a cheap bag too. Clubs will not mean much as far as learning proper grip, stance and swing. They will not correct a slice, for example. After you get down the basics, you might get some advice for your type of swing and stance.

Just find something cheap like a beginner set of Top Flite clubs or something that you like they dont necessarily need to be name brand but rather something you feel comfortable with and something you like.

whatever you can get for nothing/very cheap. Unless you know you already enjoy playing golf, you shouldn't invest too much in your clubs. It's expensive enough to get on the course.
