Do you always cross it?

Do you see it as a challenge, or a harbour of safety?

Do you know your limitations?

Do you accept your limitations?

Nice phrase, cant say I have heard that for a while.

I am assuming mental/spiritual capabilities is where you are coming from, in which case I would say my line in the sand alters with my own variations in tide. I don't purposefully cross it at any time, but often find myself the other side of it all the same. I don't see being outside of my comfort zone as a challenge at all, just as poetry is still writing, being outside of personal experience is still experience. I'll accept my physical limitations readily, my geographical and my financial limits also, but not my mental capability ... as to me experience can counter any waiver in that respect.

I think the key is simply to keep one's mind open and never close it to the unknown, then growth is achievable, both individually and to ensure a better understanding going forward.

My 'line in the sand' is cruelty to other people. I will challenge someone if they are violating someone's rights or just being mean etc. I know my limitations and I'm working on accepting my limitations. Interesting question!

Lines in the sand are merely that. Lines we draw, and which fade in a soft breeze. Deliniations do -always- break down. This or that, the wholeness of a sand dune (real life) will wipe away our divisions just as surely as it wipes away the lines we try to draw in the sand.

my line is drawn when I am challenged by some one or one becomes arrogant then I fight back with 100 times the force and I don't have any limits in which I set when seeking vengeance. Its win at all cost for me I wont go down with out a fight no matter how much I am out numbered or how much the odds are against me

My nails were the same way & my nail tech used a new acrylic on me, an opaqu (spelling) color. But she said it was a little more expensive so she only used it on certain clients whose nail beds showed the fill lines. Your tech may not want to buy expensive stuff.

i never could draw a straight line...

my limitations are physical, and i seldom accept them.

i think the only line that i have drawn is in regards to my family and children. i'm very protective of both.

My line is that I will not do something that infringes on someone else's rights (well, except my kids' until they're 18), and I will not disrespect others' innate value, even based on their actions.

It helps me be able to look myself in the mirror and be at peace with the person I see there.

My sand and I live in a windstorm, so drawing a line is quite impossible.
