First learn what "sinai" means, Sinai means "of Sin". Second, learn why and what Jesus did when He was taken to the top of Mt Sinai in Luke 4:5-6
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. (Moses wanted the promised land)
and what he told the woman concerning worship in that mountain and in Jerusalem in John 4:20-23
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. (The Jews needed to be saved because of Moses)

He probably fasted and prayed to prepare Himself to speak with God,there is a striking similarity with the 40 days that Christ spent in the widerness I think.
