The word "cause" implies the concept of time. To suggest it had a cause, is to suggest a contradiction. As Stephen Hawking says, it's like asking what's above the highest point? If your answer isn't "nothing" you're wrong.

I could give you the "pat" answer and say that there is no indication nor evidence of a creator, however time is a very complex subject. This is because time "bends" near strong sources of gravity, is relative to the viewer, and tends to disappear in sub-quantum spaces. It may also be relative to each three dimensional space or consistent throughout the 11 dimensions, but I'm not up on it enough to say for sure.
In any case, if one assumes that there is a creator, despite the facts, then time should be create-able. But the crux is not if it can be created, but if it was.

It is known that time had a start - in other words was created (though without an active creator). It is also known that it comes to an end in singularities such as black holes.
We just have a very limited perception of time because we happen to live in a bit of the universe where it is very, very flat and does not do anything interesting like begin or end.

It seems to me that in the world of duality/polarity where beings perceive themselves as "separate" from one another and from their Source (however that might be defined, though any definition is from a duality sense-perceived limitation) that this "appearance/illusion" of separation of necessity brought the illusion of time and space. Separation is an illusion (maya) and time and space are also an illusion. If I see you at a distance from me (an inch, a yard, a mile, a lifetime, etc.) then "space" is implied, which in turn implies "time" to cross that distance. If, however, there is only ONE (we co-share or have our being in that Oneness), then all is at once, in the Now, with no separation. The perceived separation is in the unenlightened mind that is driven by the gunas, which are supported by the limitations of our senses. I might be somewhat "off" in trying to answer this question (some of my "thinking" a bit unclear), but that is the nature of the limited mind. The bottom line is that only the ONE exists and only enlightenment will reveal that Absolute. I am Sirius

Time is a concept, but a pattern too. It does indeed exist, only the name "time" is a man made concept. We defined what already existed. God defined the day and the night, and we measured accordingly. Everything moves how God orchestrated it, we adjust.

Time is a construct created by God for OUR comfort.
If you want to know that's true, stick someone in a locked room sometime without a calender, watch or clock, window, or any other way to tell time and see what happens.
WE need time to feel ordered and 'right'. God doesn't need it; He created it for us.
