Jesus told the Pharisee`s that the Sabbath was made for man and not the other way round which tells us that it was not meant as a strangle hold on the Jews, and in this context it was effective only for the Jewish nation but Christianity is the completion of the Jewish religion. Had all of the Jews of Jesus’ time accepted him as the Messiah and entered the Church, there would have continued to be one true religion. But because Jesus of Nazareth was not accepted as the Messiah by the majority of the Jews of his time, a split occurred. Pre-Christian Judaism was the true religion; post-Christian Judaism is an incomplete religion because it lacks recognition of the Messiah it anticipates.
So in view of all this and the fact that Jesus rose from the dead on the first day of the Jewish week (Sunday) it is the new Sabbath for followers of Jesus ever since.

What Christ is expecting us to do is to understand that our rest is in Him. It is not found by keeping the new moons and the sabbath.

No,Sunday, the Day of the Resurrection, is the weekly holiday for Christians. Christians, especially Jewish ones, are free to observe a Saturday Shabbat in addition if they feel so led.

It was made on the seventh-day, so logically, creationists should keep it holy.

No.

Keeping the sabbath is not necessary. 1 Corinthians and Colossians say don't keep it.
