my son is four and on the rare occasions he still sees me nude or partly
public bathrooms and rarely in the shower, my son understands the differences basic ones in boys and girls he knows the bodies are different and thats it.
never teach a child to be ashamed of their body

I was told that it is OK for boys to see Mom naked and girls to see Dad naked until they are 4 years old. Around 4 is when they really start noticing and processing the "differences"
*Edit* I was told this by a friend who is a pshyco-therapist.

I agree with Lydia. At around age two you want to start teaching your son about privacy. It's not totally detrimental for him to see you naked now and again after two, but you'll be teaching him the appropriate way to act when he is at school and so forth.

I agree with Lydia and Rulsgrl... when your child starts seeing that mommy doesn't look like him, then it's time to cover up. Even if it's just a robe, teach him about privacy, and not to let other people see him naked. You're getting him ready for the real world.... he'll thank you later.

This is my opinion of course so take it with a grain of salt, but I think it is OK till the child starts to take notice of things and ask questions. I do not want him to be self conscious or ashamed of his body. It is a toss up for the most part, I am trying to teach him about his body and about privacy and we can not forget about what is perceived as appropriate. I hope my opinion helped, good luck.

We went naked in our house till our son went to school, that's when they get a bit body conscious.

As soon as he hits puberty or becomes aware that there are differences between mommy and daddy. So around 7 is a good time to stop.

i personally think that past 3 would be inappropriate for your son to see u naked, but if you had a daughter i think maybe a lil longer...........

I agree with the others who said age 2..
when my son hit 2 years old I would start telling him that no one should watch him get undressed and that no one should touch his tom-tom or butt hole
Even when I give him a bath, he wants to wash his own privites.
