Aye, I don't think anyone would be shocked, as I pretty much have the same opinions and ways of expressing them offline and I do online.
As for being offended or hurt? Hell no. That's how I met Mark (AKA Markyyy on here) was on this R&S forum thingy. *snickers* And I don't go around flirting with people online when I have someone, that'd just be really weird. That, and I have no reason to, I am very happy.

Personally, I don't come to R&S to flirt. I come to find questions from people I hope are looking for truth, and are definitely seeking real answers about God. I answer some other questions, but not frequently. Sometimes I see questions that I want to take a stab at just to see how well I can answer them, and sometimes there's a question I don't really know how to answer even though I want to answer it. That in mind, I really don't care (I know that sounds harsh) what my girlfriend (almost fiance) thinks about what I say here. This, for me, is a ministry and she doesn't like it I'm willing to answer her questions too. But I answer no question unless I'm pretty confident in the answers I give (meaning usually I can back it up Scripturally IN CONTEXT). I would present her with the same Scriptural evidence of my answers that I would offer to anyone else. If she doesn't accept that then we would definitely have some things to talk about.

I'd like to think I'm in a relationship - even if it's just at its very fruition - but I never say anything to anyone that would get me in trouble. It would bother me if they did - so I don't.
I'm not trying to start any arguments or cause any conflict. I think I can be friendly and conversational without crossing a line.
When is a line crossed, though? I guess it would depend on each person (and their sig. other) and what they felt was emotionally harmful to him/her.
It would take quite a bit to bother me - some innocent remark on a board is nothing, flirtacious emails back and forth dripping with innuendo is a totally different story.
I don't play with fire cause I don't want to get burned.
Luckily, my man is a firefighter so he'd rescue me in that event ;)

I am on a computer that faces the kitchen table where my wife is usually on her laptop. she sees almost everything i type, (when she is here) and often adds a question for the folks. although we are different culturally , and our languages don't always mesh, and she is a catholic and i am an atheist, other than that, we agree on everything, ha ha.
oh, and no she didn't like a couple of e-mails i sent that said something along the lines of "i love you too", now, i had to get out an old textbook and show her the difference between philos and eros, but she finally stopped bashing me over the head with the steamiron, so I guess it's okay now.

Well I'm not in a relationship so I guess this doesn't necessarily apply to me.
But speaking from personal experience, I do get a lot more brazen on here than I would with you people in real life. Some say it's about the anonymity, but I don't think that's it for me. It's more that this isn't serious. At least to me it's not. We're just wasting our work days, once in awhile having thought-provoking questions, but otherwise playing drinking games and fooling around with each other.
My attitude on here now is exactly the same as it was when I was on here while in a committed relationship. It makes no difference for me, because I don't take these things to heart.
Maybe others do. I can't judge if they're crossing the line or not. That's up to them and their partners.

with what i write in here - no, he wouldn't mind. he knows i'm a flirt. he even knows that i have an R&S husband - and wife! lol
i have been doing some similar reflecting, and there have been times outside of R&S where i may have crossed lines and he would have been hurt reading it. it's very difficult to ascertain how someone will perceive what you write, even if there was no intent or seriousness involved and it can lead to much pain.
words can hurt as much as actions. we all need to think about how someone you care about could be affected by what you say/write

My husband does read what I post here.
We point out questions (and answers) to each other when it's something we think the other might be interested in.
I very much doubt that anything I say (here, there, or anywhere) would shock, offend, or hurt him. It's possible I might surprise him now and then - but I doubt it.
Flirting here? No thanks. Sure, I see it here... but what's the point?
My husband might not agree with everything I say here, but I can't see him being unhappy with me over any of it.

He's not insecure so I guess my 'flirting' wouldn't really be on his radar. I do think that once you start having feelings for a person and continue to contact them that that is crossing a line. However, flirting on a public forum is harmless to me. I wouldn't mind or be surprised if he did it. People flirt with him all the time. I don't have time to let it bother me. Those British accents will get you every time.

Hi, I don't flirt on here, but mostly just answer questions.
I have met a couple of people that I visit with. One is a man, and one a woman. I chat with the guy and email and call the lady. My husband knows about them both. He doesn't really understand why I would want to talk to people that I have never met. I told him, you really get to know online people after a long time of talking to them.
He isn't jealous of them per se, but is of my time. He doesn't want it taken away from him, who is real right in front of me.

There was a time when I posted some things in "relationships" - because things were patchy. They are better now. I don't think he would have appreciated those postings though.
As for the R&S stuff - he knows where I stand - and wouldn't be shocked or hurt by much of anything that I say on here.
