All the time, for one he listens, 2 he does not talk back, and three he will never repeat what I say, and plus we are alone most of the time together so at least I am not talking to myself. But my dogs understands most of what I say.

Of course! I am a foster mom for a rescue and talk to the dogs that come in constantly. It makes them happy, you can bare your soul to them and they don't say a word. I talk to our dogs about everything under the sun. Sometimes my adopted dog barks back if I ask her a question. lol

Lol...yea. I talk to my dogs like they're people and even have my own conversations with them. My oldest male will actually "talk back" to me, especially when I tell him no to something he wants to do...when he does, I always tell him "don't use that tone with me" and stuff like that...like a kid. Its pretty funny...I can't even tell you the number of times someone will come into the room and ask me if I'm on the phone or who am I talking to.....its just the dogs :)

Of course we talk to our dog! Coby is just like another child. We know that he doesn't understand much of what we're saying but he responds to the tone of our voices with the cutest head tilts, etc. You'd think he was following our story right along! Sometimes it even looks like he's smiling!

Sure I do! The smarter one looks at me like I'm an idiot, but the other one talks back. He'll actually try to mimic my tone of voice. It's really funny!

Yes, and it's cool how she'll come up and sit right in front of me like she's trying to talk to me, so I talk to her and when she hears the right word, water, outside, bone, etc., then she'll jump up and get all excited until I attend to her need. They are truly amazing, aren't they?
