I would imagine humans have both, to a greater or lesser degree.

Fear is vital for the preservation of a species - if we know no fear, imagine the mess we would make of things.

Laziness on the other hand is also vital, to a lesser degree as it helps us preserve energy and not waste it - after all knowing your next meal will definitely arrive is a relatively modern luxury.

Well, it seems every ones slave programming is functioning just fine. Has anyone ever wondered why we drive ourselves to accomplish, even when we are dead tired? Programming by the owners. It's in your DNA to operate as a slave. Nothing wrong with rest. When a person is too busy, they suffer spiritually. And, fear is the big motivator here. Fear of being lazy. Fear of breaking programming. So, I have to say that fear is the most universal human trait there is.

Fear. It is a survival instinct. Laziness develops over time when people have the luxury to be lazy.

They're equally universal. You won't find a person (of sound mind) without fear, nor will you find a person of sound mind without the desire for laziness.

We have biological impulses for both. Fear for survival, and laziness to conserve energy.

Laziness is the mother of all invention. You think the car was invented by a jogging fanatic?
