We need each other, but they do have an unfair advantage with the valuation of their currency. We must tread lightly when contemplating reforms to adjust the imbalance - which increased 43% just last year.

They are using our dollars to build their military - for an eventual showdown with the US and/or Taiwan. They want to have the worlds largest navy by 2020. If we do nothing, they may achieve that in 2015. In addition, they are developing space weaponry, as well as satellite blinding technology - which makes our "eyes in the sky" useless, at least temporarily.

WJ Clinton. The huge deficit. Back with links unless you Google

Otherwise I read their paper to keep up. As their economy booms, still a wide range of poor -to wealthy gap. I am not pleased with how we depend on China for cheap goods & labor... then there is Wal Mart. Sure, I like a good deal but it has gotten way out of hand in my opinion. Thanks.

we have been on this too
Google Taiwan-us
and also now Japan has a new Prime Minister. It is unsure
where he will go with future loyalties. He has stated he also is working on rebuilding their Navy.

ALL this and Bill Clinton was down sizing our military at the end of his term. Went so far as to threaten to close Pearl Harbor. 2.3 trillion in missing military funds. The same man in charge of his Systems Planning Corporation -CEO , Dov Zakheim 1987-2001, became comptroller of the Pentagon in 2001. Was under investigation by AG Gonzales.
The money is still missing and the issue was being further addressed on September 10, 2001 by others and then?

I am no Clinton fan. The worst part about trade with China is we have now been placed in a bad position of debt with them. Should they call us on our loans we would be devastated. Way before the ships & so forth get to us. Another concern! Computer glitches. Each bity part of our computer is constructed via a made in china piece. I have no link but have heard warnings of a national freeze and knock out of our computer systems as we know them. Crippling us. The Chinese barely need to leave their soil to make a dent in America. And the lowest point began during the Clinton Administration.

All Americans care about is the price. If it's less expensive then Americans will like it. China products are here to stay. Thanks alot Wal Mart.

Ask us what we think about posting NON-MILITARY related questions in the MILITARY section of Y/A MILITARY first.
