according to the torah the Messiah is supposed to restore Hebrew royalty with the Messiah being the King of all Israel and the Jews having Dominion over the whole world.

Jesus is not mentioned by name once in the old testament. He was not recognized by the Jews as the messiah because Judaism teaches that when the real messiah does come, there will be, among other things, peace on earth.

Clearly, that didn't happen when Jesus was around!

EDIT TO PRAVEEN K

- get your facts right. The Romans crucified Jesus, not the Jews. Only the Romans practised crucifixion; it was not something ever done by Jews.

In addition, the Romans did not kill Jesus because they were 'asked' to do so by the Jews, as some insist. The Jews were totally oppressed by the Romans and not in a position to make demands or requests!

EDIT TO JEWSAY

- brilliant answer!

Jesus will restore Hebrew royalty with the Messiah (Jesus) being king of Israel and His having dominion over the world.

Jesus came to explain that the world was for everyone, not just the Jews. What they had been told by their ancestors needed panel beating. The history of the Jews is not the history of the world. We should learn to live together in peace on this earth for which no one has more rights than others. Abraham's descendants had to find a rallying point, otherwise we are all equal. This is the true message.

christians believe jezus is a descendant of David, the royal line, even though jezus' lineage cannot be proven. the NT cannot even get it right in two books of the bible. christians have an excuse for everything. especially considering the fact the angle even got his name wrong, it was to be Emmanuel, and the baby was named jezus instead. Wouldn't god have known what the name of the messiah was tobe? after all, he DID speak through a prophet?

christians point out flaws in other religions instead of their own. they especially like to ridicule mormons who wrote another book god gave them. christians did the same when writing and collecting books for their NT. since they sewed up the bible with books of fiction, they do not want any other interlopers to write their own NT books. so they call the mormons a cult. birds of a feather... christians just think they have dominion because they do not know what they worship, and the rest of the world has no idea what christians worship because christians are so fragmented in worship and in joining together in unity. their only voice is in spreading their hateful message of christianity and its intolerance.

It is easily explained by the whole thing being a story, made up from contemporary wisdom and imagination. When a story is written purely for enjoyment, it does not need to be convincing. When written for control of the masses, it has to be based on some observable truths, or who would believe it?

Examine the stories of Dan Brown, who has single-handedly and incidentally changed the world view of the Illuminati. He is a master-class at mixing fact and fiction together in a very believable way.

There's more to the prophecies than that. In Isaiah, we are told that he will be rejected by his people and that by his stripes we are healed. Careful reading of all the prophecies reveals that the messiah will, indeed, come twice for two different purposes. He has already fulfilled the first, by providing forgiveness for the sins of the world. When He comes again, He will restore the world to what God originally intended.

There's this book you should read...It's called Double Identity....It's part of the True Identity fiction book series. Daniel J. Koren. In it it explains why people believe in the trinity and the oneness and it gives a deeper, more understandeble version( yo dawg language) of who Jesus was and still is. He was the messiah, he came in royalty (GOD IS KING OF ALL) he saved the world by dying for us. there had to be a sacrifice to clean our sins and jesus sacrified his body to be the eternal sacrifice. You really need to read up on this. It's quite facsinating and deep-meaning.

He is the Alpha and Omege the begining and the End. He is almighty counselor, prince of peace, my everlasting father, my saviour my everything! :D I sincerely hope you find your way to heaven!

Of course, the small detail of the Messiah completing his mission in total during his lifetimes is oft neglected by believers in Jesus, instead opting for the non-biblical fantasy of a second coming.

Perhaps a reading of Isaiah 53 and Zechariah 12:10...may Open your Understanding!

The "Time of the Gentiles".....needs YET to be Fulfilled....!

(Luke 21:24) And they shall fall by the sword's edge. And shall be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the nations = = = until the times of the nations [gentiles ] is fulfilled.

Another READING..... of the Books of ISAIAH.... and.... EZEKIEL..... Will SHOW ONE.... that the Nation of ISRAEL..... God's Covenant PEOPLE.... Will BE.... RESTORED !

The Torah told that the sceptre would not depart from Judah, nor a law giver from between his feet until Shiloh come.

The sceptre did not depart from Judah, and Shiloh has come, and he is gathering the people unto himself. All those who are of the promised seed, singular, of Abraham.
