Me and my brother don't smoke but we have to breathe in the stench of tobacco all the time. I want them to stop. Give me some tips or remedies please?

If it's your mother's house, there is nothing you can do. She has every right to smoke in her own house even if it does bother you. I think you should ask her and your sister to smoke outside; if they won't, ask that she purchase an air purification system for the house so you can breathe easier.

Smoking is a hard addiction to break and if your mom and sister don't want to stop, they're not going to.

However, get your thoughts together and couple those thoughts with some statistics about smoking and lung cancer, emphysema and all. Ask your mom and sister to sit down with you and tell them these things:
1. How much they mean to you
2. How much you want them to be as healthy as possible so you can have as much time with them as possible
3. What lung cancer and emphysema will do to them if they get them
4. How stinky they are to be around, how yellow their hair and teeth are, etc.
5. How much you hate breathing in all that junk and just what second hand smoke can do to your health
6. All the things you want to do with them through the years
6. How much they mean to you, again

Don't be surprised if your mom and sister aren't really interested, but keep encouraging them to quit...for their own health and yours.

Good luck!

Ugh, I know what you mean!

It's very hard to quit, so be understanding of your mom and sister. However, you have the right to breathe clean air at home. Politely, but firmly, explain that you don't like breathing in their smoke because it hurts your throat, makes you cough, causes your clothing to smell, etc. Ask them to please smoke outside, and to consider trying to quit for thier own health. Tell them you will be there to support them, and be pleasant around them. Kill them with kindness, as they say, and maybe they will help you out, too.

You poor thing, how inconsiderate of them.

Some Options

1. Try to get them to stop with all the shocking anti smoking pictures.

2. Reason with them and ask them to smoke outside.

3.Move out

4. Buy a gas mask

5. let off stink bombs everyrtime they light up inside.

6 hide their cigarettes

I'm afraid they are addicted and it's not easy to stop,
they have to have the will to do it. You're nagging or
pestering them will make it harder.

You can ask them not to smoke in the house.

Good Luck!

You can't force your mom and sister to quit smoking... but you can ask them if they wouldn't mind smoking outside?

Otherwise, you can go into your own space (your room) and open the window to air it out?

I know smoke is awful.... I hope it works out.
