Ok....you have egg and cheese....
1) Yes, lightly toast the bread.
2) Since you are not the best cook (noted in your question) then I would recommend scrambling your egg(s).
3) Place the egg(s) in a bowl. I would recommend 2 eggs.
4) Put 2 Tbs. of water or milk in the bowl with the eggs. Only put 1 TBS if you only use one egg. Basically 1TBS of liquid for every one egg you have used.
5) Mix your eggs/water or eggs/milk which ever you have gone with until eggs are broken and well mixed (will be a pale yellow color) Set aside.
6) Set your pan/skillet on the stove. Spray it with cooking spray or you can place 1-2 TBS of butter in the skillet/pan.
7) Set the temperature on the stove pretty low. So if your stove has numbers like a 3.
8) When the butter has melted or the pan is warm (1-2minutes) then pour the egg mixture
9) Leave egg alone in pan for 1 minute. Then push in sides all the way around the pan/skillet to let uncooked egg reach the heat and begin to cook. Let sit for minute. Push in sides all the way around the pan and begin to scramble for like 30 seconds. Turn heat off.
10) Grab your toast, butter if you want to. Place a piece of cheese on the toast. Place your scrambled egg(s) on top of the cheese. Place the other piece of toast on the egg.
THE CHEESE WILL MELT FROM THE HEAT FROM THE EGG AND THE HEAT FROM THE TOAST.

Whether you toast your bread or not is totally up to you. I usually toast mine, though.
Do you have any pesto or sun-dried tomato spread? I love spreading either on my English muffin whenever I make a breakfast sandwich. Great flavor.
Ok, here's what I do. Put about 1 tsp of olive oil or vegetable oil in a skillet, along with about 1/2 tsp of butter. You can also use margarine, if you want. Turn heat on medium and let the butter melt. Decide if you're going to have any vegetables with your eggs. I usually cut up some onion, green pepper if I have it, and maybe some mushrooms too. First I saute them for about 3 minutes, then break the eggs over them and let them cook. Once the whites appear to be solid, I will flip the eggs over, sprinkle some cheese on top (shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, herbed Feta or Havarti dill works good), put a cover on top and let cook for a minute or so, then remove from the heat. Get your bread or English muffin toasted, spread some pesto on both sides (not too much), put the eggs on top, and you're done.

How about this which is what I saw in the movie V for Vendetta.
Butter bread on both sides (can use margarine if you prefer) and then cut a hole in the bread. the hole should be the size of the egg, maybe a few centimeters bigger.
Heat frying pan and place bread in pan.
Crack egg and pour contents of egg in the center of the bread. Add salt and pepper and cheese.
Cook on one side until bread is brown. Carefully turn over the bread with the egg and cheese. Tying not to tear or spill the egg from the center of the bread.
Cook until egg inside bread is firm.
And enjoy.

I love scrambled egg and cheese sandwiches! No meat is needed!
Just break eggs open and put in a bowl, add a little milk. whisk together but don't beat it to death.
heat up your skillet to about medium high and add couple pats of butter. pour in egg mixture, season with salt and pepper. let eggs begin to set add cheese and start stirring and turning so they cook even. when done remove from pan and set aside while you get bread ready unless you put it in the toaster. better in pan though!
butter two slices of bread (I butter on both sides but some people only like butter on one side and then put mayo on the inside with the eggs) and heat one side in skillet until just brown then heat other side (won't take but a minute). add eggs back to bread and enjoy!
I love to put green tabasco in mine.

Make sandwich as one usually does with mashed boiled eggs and cheese and black pepper. cut the sandwich into half.
take a cup of gram flour and add water to make a dipping consistancy.( It should be enough to coat the bread and not dripping off it.) Dip your prepared sandwich in it and deep fry till golden. Have with tomato ketchup. Its just yummy and a heavy breakfast.

(Toast bread while cooking egg) Break an egg into a frying pan with melted butter, break the yolk, fry on both sides, put cheese on egg, let melt a little, put on toast, eat and enjoy!
You're welcome, glad to help!
