I am an atheist, hate muslims for what they have done.
But sometimes i feel absurd about it, i have never come across any muslim, but still i hate them. I have seen a lot of true & false stuff about them on the internet.

Is my hate justified? Considering I havent met a single muslim(personally) all through out my life.
I have met many christians, they are hypocrites, they hardly follow what is written in the bible.

Most of the ppl are right, my hate for them isnt justified. But there are a million or a billion people out there, who dont feel absurd about it. They too hate them.

I was wrong on typecasting them & hating them for a crime that a very few people did. Probably I should interact with muslims and then decide about them. The media has played a good role in increasing my hatred towards muslims. Thanks to anti-muslim media.

No, I don't hate muslims.

You *should* feel absurd.

It's an interesting question. I guess it's not easy to admit that you feel hatred for a whole group of people whom, you write, don't even know very well. And the issue is obviously troubling you.

I presume that by: "for what they have done" you are referring to 9/11. Some muslims did that, and some muslims applauded them. But not all muslims are the same.

You ask whether your hatred is justified. I am not sure that something as powerful and instinctual as hatred can be watered down with a justification or lack of it. It's tricky.

To try to answer you question: "Do you hate muslims". My answer is: "No, I don't hate them. I feel a moderate contempt for islam, (an christianity, and judaism, and buddhism, and witchcraft and so on) but if I were to start hating all believers simply because they are believers, I think that there would be few people in the world that I may like. And that is no way to live".

In my opinion, your hate is not justified. I am muslim, I converted when I was 19. Although I am muslim, I have never done anything to make someone hate me. There are different forms of the muslim belief. To lump people all in the hate category because of what some are doing is just not logical. I can understand you hating the people who are terrorists and happen to be muslim too, but hating everyone that is muslim is just not right. Maybe you should find a few muslims and sit down and talk to them and see that they are normal people just like you. I go to work everyday, I raise my son with respect and integrity. I pay taxes, have never been in jail, and do not support the terrorists around the world. We are not all bad.

Smart Person,
I am a Christian and I realize that you have been influenced by the media and a number of incidents that have happened worldwide. I do not hate or even dislike people for their religious beliefs. That is not a good way to categorize people. You are absolutely right that MOST people do not read, study, and obey the Bible yet CLAIM to be Christians. They are WRONG in doing so! The Muslims who are violent are also NOT following their "holy book" as it is written. I do my best to read, study, and follow the BIBLE daily and hope to do so until the end of my life. I have several Muslim friends and have found them to be good people who are peaceful and kind. It is sad that there are so many who choose to be violent in each and every religious group. Have a great day and a wonderful week!
Thank You,
Eds

To hate a group of millions based on the actions of a few is absurd. Totally absurd.

A few Muslims have done some terrible things... but that is some, not all or even most.

How would you feel if I said I hated you because you were American and once an American guy stole my phone.... or because a few are members of the KKK.

So you must also hate Christians for the crusades and so on. There are bad seeds in all religions. Don’t judge a religion by the person but by the religion itself. If you do it this way then you will be able to see if this person is true to his religion or going against its teaching. If your an atheist than you can prove God does not exist? Good Luck...

No, I don't hate muslims.
There is no reason to hate them unless your being racise or steriotyping or something in that area. It wrong to hate people you don't know.
That's like looking at a cake that's made all messy like and saying that probably doesn't taste good, but if you judge before... you might be missing out on something really good.
I bet you never REALLY met a muslims, it's like meeting another person. They're just regular like you and me and everyone in this world.

You ask 'is my hate justified'? No, it is not. How can you possibly justify hating a whole group of people, especially when you have never even met one of them?
You need to get out more! Broaden your horizons beyond your trailer park or wherever you live. Travel the world, meet people of different cultures! Get away from the small town culture that has bred this awful self-centred emotion in you, before it is too late.

I don't HATE Muslims, or Jews, or Christians, or Hindus, or Atheist, or anyone.

I hate a TYPE of person or attitude, a person that has selfish ambitions who belittle or THINK little of everyone else around them.

There are people of ALL faiths and no faiths that have been guilty of destroying people, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

It is this that I do not have a tolerance for.

I'm married to one, and I'm an atheist. I also know a lot of her Muslim friends, and they are decent people. I don't hate Christians, either. My family is Christian. Half of my relatives are Jewish, too. I don't hate them either.

However, I hate religion. I hate Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. I just don't hate the people who fall for such superstition. Religion does much harm in the world. The people indoctrinated into it are some of the victims.

Your experience with Christians applies to most people of most religions. People are generally decent. They live their lives and generally treat each other well, no matter what their religious belief is. All cherry pick what parts of their religion they really follow. I wouldn't call them hypocrites, in general, because their texts are impossible to follow literally. It is true that most don't know what is written in the Bible, and most Muslims really don't know what's written in the Quran, outside of what their religious leaders tell them.

Your hate is justified, but misdirected. Though, I understand how difficult it is to separate the belief from the people believing it.

I don't hate Muslims. I hate what their leaders do in an attempt to destroy my faith and replace it with their own.

I hate the hoaxes and frauds being used on a daily basis to boast "scientific miracles" in the Qur'an.

I hate when they won't look at their own religion with the same objectivity as they use to refute mine.

For example: look at the answer above mine: "Because Muslim really open up the Christian truth and there absurdities." That's exactly what I'm talking about. They want to play tug-of-war with religion instead of allowing people to believe as they choose.

Basically, I hate the message, not the messenger.
