You mean to say
Your friend and his wife (X) married.
Z is the daughter of (X) married to your friend's uncle. u aah interesting situation and by marriage
Your friend has become father in law of his uncle. His wife (x) becomes mother in law to his uncle. At same time the same uncle is father in law to his wife (X)
By marrying Z his uncle becomes your friends son in law and his aunty becomes the mother and daughter in law at the same time.

I understand the problem and web of misunderstanding. In my opinion both marriages should be dissolved.

If they are not muslims and have different faith then i don't think there is any harm in it. To avoid confusion they should pick their existing relation with mother and daughter without stressing the fact that they are mother and daughter. It will save their marriage and confusion.

I have read your question, and I understand. However, since there are no blood relations in any of the marriages, I don't think there is a problem. It is not unheard of or illegal to marry a step relative...they are not blood related to you, there is no incest, they are only related via someone else's marriage.

Leave the marriages alone. It is an unusual situation, but neither morally nor legally wrong.

Example:

"Jane" and "Dick" are married.
Jane's mother "Janet" is divorced.
Dick's father "John" is a widower.
Janet and John fall in love and get married.

Dick and Jane are now considered step siblings...but, since they are not blood related in any way, they do not need to get a divorce. The marriage of their parents makes no difference to their own relationship.

So your friend's step daughter is married to his uncle....So what. Lots of people meet and marry step relatives. There is no blood relationship.
Children from these relationships will be "doubly"
related. Genetically more like siblings that cousins.
