Right now I think I am receiving help by helping others. I have a purpose in life. I don't mean that in a selfish way because if I can take my mind off of myself and get into contact with God's word to help others then I feel that maybe I am accomplishing God's will.

Well, I'd assume that if we had all the data on every person who ever lived, and a computer powerful enough to process it and deliver an end, we still have a gigantic list to choose from.
This may sound odd, but I believe that we exist to someday create ourselves, and that we exist proves that we will succeed. I know, this has a lot of crazy "but.." and the very true concept of time as a dimension of this universe confuses me, and everyone else to death. But I've looked at it mathematically and it seems plausible. I think one day a species will evolve into, or create a being that can leave this universe, and cause the Universe to happen. This is neither a faith based belief, because I'm not too strongly set in it, nor a scientific belief, because nothing I can do can ever prove it until it happens.

It is a logical fallacy to believe just because everyone else does. Maybe everyone else is wrong. Millions of people once believed that the earth war flat and millions of other things that turned out to be incorrect.

You must find your own purpose.
I guess if I were to give a universal answer, it would be:
To make the best out of what you have to work with, which includes self improvement (like getting an education, better job, etc).

Well, im not here to live my life for someone else, like another answerer said... Our purpose is to live our lives in the best way possible, improve life, not degrade it.

There is no purpose to anything. Existence is meaningless and arbitrary. It's our choice whether we embrace that freedom or cling to whatever belief system best insulates us from the responsibility to define our own lives.
