This may seem like a basic question / procedure for those of you that deal with this on a daily basis, but it continues to catch me off guard and makes me want to smash my keyboard in frustration.. Question: While typing an e-mail, I accidently stuck the "ALT " key while trying to hit the space bar.. I'm sure anyone who's done this before knows what happened next....... yeah, a split second pause followed by the entire page disappearing back to whatever previous page you were on....... in other words, adios' e-mail, gone forever...........or was it ??? A half hours' worth of typing, GONE !!! Please, somebody tell me there was a simple way to correct this screw-up !!! Yeah, I know, learn to type, HA ! HA !........NEXT !!
Anyone up to playing " Teach the dummy how to use a computer " ???

We all hit the wrong key at times, but --

1/2 hour's worth of typing?
I would not do this in "compose."

Open a Word document.
type your e-mail or letter
when finished, Control+A to Select it
Control+C to copy

go online
in the message box for your e-mail, right-click and paste

This way you can take your time, make corrections, changes, whatever. You can even save it to a file for future reference if you want.

Pop off those keys employing a pen or paperclip and wash them in warm soapy water. Get a rag with warm soapy water and clean off the sticky pop on the incredibly keyboard. enable air dry or use a paper towel to dry it up speedier. gently push the keys lower back into place, the gap bar is somewhat trickier, it oftentimes has a metallic bar that has to slot in its holder first. it relatively is incredibly no longer an excellent deal to try this, approximately as quickly as a year I take off all my keys and supply them a good scrubbin'. I purely would not submerge the incredibly keyboard in water, i've got heard of persons who've performed it, yet oftentimes wiping down the gap below the keys is all you could desire to do.
