Diane, believe it or not, my own Book of Shadows is my BEST book. It has EVEYRYTHING I need and use in my practice. ALL of it has been gleaned from literally hundreds of other books, my OWN experiences and information gathering from thousand of sources, and meditations and wanderings around in Nature. Most Witches will tell you the same thing. No single author has everythng that each Witch uses exclusively, (unless of course your following a formal Trad, then the Trad's BOS will be your Book of choice). Now, I DO realize that not ALL Witches keep a formal BOS, but they DO keep SOME form of journal where they compile all of their source materials and THAT is what I refer to when I say "Book of Shadows" regardless of what it's entitled.

To be honest - I have no favorite craft books.
I am a strong believer that when it comes to becoming a Wise One of the Craft - it comes from inside, and you create your own path with just a few references.
My Aunt who has had 25+ years experience with the Pagan path has really been my teacher. I do have a few books, but I don't recommend them
I go by color coordination, using tools that the spell consists of, days of the planets, solstices, moon phases, etc.
I read alot of Ancient Medicine and Herbal Medicine books. You can find really good ones at http://www.www.llewellyn.com

Scott Cunningham is good. And the book Pagan Spirituality (though kind of corny at times) is a good one. There just isn't that many Craft books out there that are good, in my opinion. I prefer history books ;-)

Witchcraft: A Beginner's Guide, by Teresa Moorey. Very direct and informative, especially good for newcomers

I have to agree with Raji, my own craft book is my favorite, it has things that have been passed down, as well as those things that I have managed to find on my own.

I have too many favorites to list! However, I do a ton of book reviews, so if you're really curious about my opinions on specific books, go to http://lupabitch.wordpress.com :)

My favorite I would have to say is "Solitary Witch" by Silver Ravenwolf. It's very conscise with a lot of information and resources in it.
