Greed for money is the root of all evil......craving to make more and more results in moving away from real happiness.........sounds weird but it is true.

No, but it causes greed and desperation, which certainly motivate people to do evil things. Most burglaries, murders and other crimes are committed by people who are desperately poor and need money. Greedy people who have already had a taste of wealth and like it may cheat others or cut corners to make more money, particularly business men/women. Evil acts like dropping a nuclear bomb on a city are financed by money, so in a way, money plays a part in that kind of evil too.
While money may not be the ROOT of all evil, there wouldn't be as much evil in the world if there weren't a NEED for money. Perhaps we should just go back to living in caves ;-)

Man cannot serve two masters (God and Mammon) he will love one and hate the other.
Money is being worshipped at the moment, it is the source of all unhappiness - whether you have a lot or a litte money, these days people always want more of it. Greed is evil and I think that money is the root of all evil. Still, we have to have some sort of bartering system! They say money talks, it sure does a good job of elevating the rich and denigrating the poor. God told us to store our riches in heaven not on earth where moth and rust doth corrupt (bible)

The church teaches money is the root of evil so you will hand all your money over to the church. No wonder main churches are worth so much $$$$ and they also own business as well to make more money. It's a case of do as I say not as I do.
No money itself is not bad, it's what the person is willing to do to get it if they are not a good person.

The saying is that the love of money is the root of all evil. I think it is. If you love money then you tend to devalue everything else and you will do any thing for it. Values go out of the window.

Money isnt in itself evil it is the people who can be evil and that is a choice that each individual has to make. I dont have a lot of money just enough but I sure wont walk over anyone to get it.

Money can no more be the root of evil than a tree. It's how money and the affect of having or not having it, has the ability to change people.
