Why do bother worshiping god when he does this to you, but lets me,a devout Atheist, off very lightly. Wouldn't it make more sense for him/her/it to punish a sinner like me than a follower like you?

How did God let you down?

Why do you feel He let you down?

Take a look at what Jesus did on the cross?

Life is tough, and God never pro missed that it would be different.

What test did you put God through? Read Jeremiah chapter 18, and learn from the potter.

God bless you and help you to understand.

I wouldnt think god is personnally to answer to you, and i would say if you are a god worshipper then it is you who is being tested to retain your faith even when you have been let down.... If you do feel god let you down you could try worshipping a different one, there are plenty out there......

Something I too have struggled with, although I didn't lose a child. I have 2 christian friends who did though.
I haven't quite resolved my own disappointment in God, but I feel free to tell Him so. I shout at Him a lot. I think He is big enough to take it.
I am getting there, but it has taken a long time. I lean on more mature christians who have been through terrible times and somehow got through it. I believe I will be fully healed one day, I pray you will too.

If God created man in his own image, then man shows us what God is like, right? What you're saying is, if God is benevolent and man is malevolent, then man is not made in God's image. That is logical. But what I say is, God created man with the capacity for ill, and indeed there can be nothing in creation which does not embody polar opposites. I still believe that man is made in the image of god ... and woman too, and that tells you a lot about what God is like. Different from how most Christians imagine him, I fancy.

I don't think He let you down my friend, He is a loving God! Thats why there are trials, to make us stronger! What have you learned from the trial?
Sometimes we tend to blame God for our mistake, the thing is,He has given us a free will,to choose right from wrong.

I dont know the answer to that one because he has let me down so often now. Ive prayed and many times he had done the opposite to what I have asked. If I pray to St Jude he helps me. Try him...he is my guardian angel. I have never ever been let down by St. Jude because he cares for me.

I dont want to deny your feelings about feeling God failed you. Often in life bad and hurtful things happen and we dont understand. But I know God cared enough for you personally to send His Son to die for each and everyone of us.He is as always as close to you as your next heartbeat and breath.Gods' Love for us never changes...He never moves away from searching for us. He gave His Son for you personally...You are very valuable and lovable at all times to Him. He has something for you to do for Him that he has chosen you in particulaur for.I lost a niece ...she was murdered by an ex-boyfriend....and several loved ones...a sister and my mother died of cancer...we are only passing through earth on a journey...We as a family were given the graces by God to forgive this murder .Deprivation and pain make us question all the time...please just think about you are being loved at every moment at your existance.....I wish you peacefulness once more.In all these situations God stays...our perception gets clouded...but I know He is always "there" for you too.

What is the difference between God and Father Christmas? Answer - we have the courage and honesty to admit that Father Christmas does not exist, but you believed in him until someone undeceived you. You don't get that with god, because the people who asked you to believe still go on believing. But why?
