the USA have by far the most technologically advanced military in the world they have always had the best kit because their government are willing to spend money to give their servicemen the edge, as for best trained i would say the British, most if not every special force unit around the world is modeled on theirs and even the regular infantry have a six month training program compared to other army's who train their soldiers in half that time

the British on the other hand have had 30 years of real training in northern Ireland plus Bosnia and other eastern European country's and i do recall that the Brits have been involved with both gulf conflicts i think that you could call that "real experience"

The US without a doubt. Best trained? Probably the USA again. The US military has been in action since the first Gulf War. Soldiers with combat experience have the best kind of training "real experience" that cannot be achieved at some training camp.

the USA leads in technology,the best trained has to be the British army who it has to be said trains most other country's army's in one form or another including the Americans,also,the British army has been involved in conflicts world wide for years since ww2 ended,30 years in northern island,Europe with the UN,Cyprus,Aden,Oman,Malaya,Borneo,Africa,to name a few,all this experience produced a fighting force second to none and although i see that someone has mentioned the usa in the same sentance as iraq i would like to point out that we were also involved and that without the british army the first gulf war could not have happened,words like scuds and sas come to mind

United States and Israel. Take a look at Israeli equipment when you have a chance. (Desert Eagle, the Uzi, they're defensive equipment like gas masks and armor, etc)
