I think then, you are actually infactuated. It's hard to tell the difference, aint it? From what you've said, the fact that you're a contact of his made you like him - but you really don't sound like you actually LOVE the guy.
If he's not online ... well I think you are still just infactuated. If you truely love someone, you don't need anyone to tell you so =]

You cant ask somebody if you are in love because we dont know, you are the person so you should know whether you are in love or not.
