Like I kinda sorta maybe belive in God cause come on there is no actuall proof so you can't be sure he is real. But since I kinda sorta belive in him and and I was gonna belive in any deity it would be him do you think he would let me in Heaven. Do you think it's reason enough to let me in because I fear Hell and if I fear Hell then that means God is real so I really will get props for it and get to go to Heaven. Someone answer with a serious answer cause this kinda determines wether I go to Hell or not, haha

Tell you the truth. There is a slim chance that God will let anyone in. I have a friend who is very religious and faithful. He told me he wouldnt even count on it to go to heaven. The only thing you can do right now is have faith and be the best person you can be.

Just listen to yourself, man 'like I kinda sorta believe' and 'so you can't be sure he is real' and he's the best deity around, etc. Do you call that faith? Do you think any self-respecting God would receive that as a compliment? You're trying, but you certainly haven't made it yet.

It's not easy, finding faith. There necessarily has to be a struggle because no-one wants to commit 'intellectual suicide'. I seriously question the faith of the 'unthinking', I really do.

I agree with Eliza on this one. If you want to get to God (and escape Hell, by the way), you have to go through Jesus. He is the only way. No other way will do, because he is the divine Son whom the Father sent expressly for the purpose of saving people from Hell. If you sidetrack Jesus you offend the Father. Jesus is central. Read the Bible - start with the gospel of John. That is Jesus telling you who he is, why he came, etc.

You have a great deal of thinking yet to do, and a big struggle ahead. No one sorts out the mass of ideas they've been carrying around for a lifetime quickly, some of which they've grown rather attached to. Much of which is wrong. God's Word will give you light, but you will come slap up against your will in this and also, it probably won't come 'in a blinding light' either. Faith is not like that.

If you want to know what it is I will tell you. It is a little leap which calls you, which seems like going to the moon for you at the time, because you can never know everything and if you wait till you do you'll never make it. So there will come a time when you must leap, when you are beginning to believe his Word, that it could be, must be, actually true!

I'll help you again. You'll have to look at the Resurrection and ask whether Jesus really did rise from the dead. This is crucial. There are only a few possible options here as to what really did happen (that's is you are really seeking for answers and not saying 'no-one can know', etc.). Of those few possible answers, I have to say that resurrection, to me, is the most logical (if you admit that God can do anything). Think about it. As you say, your eternal future is at stake.

i dont want to sound like the mean Christian that everyone before me is talking about but i just want to explain the idea behind what you're questioning

first of all,its good that you believe that God is out there....thats a good start and its alot closer than most people on earth.

however, Satan "believes" in God also but that doesn't necessarily mean he is going to heaven, far from it

so these are the steps you need to take now,my friend, before you can become a child of Christ.

First of all you believe. So you need to realise that you are a sinner and that you haven't been following Christ at all through your life. You need to pray to Him and confess your sins. I will post up a "question" in a few minutes with some Bible verses you might find useful,if you'd care to take a look

Once you've done this my friend, you're free!! you're going to heaven!! As someone who has experienced this i just want to say it's the best thing that has ever happened to me!! And i believe you will get the utmost satisfaction from it too!!

God will let you in. God is just but also merciful. Makes no sense that God would send/allow people to be sent to hell for eternity for not believing in him. I believe hell is only temporary and most will go directly to heaven. Just be a kind and considerate person.

Revelation 3:15 - 17....
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked."

which I take to mean that God prefers that you KNOW what you believe; not be on the fence. If you think you have everything you need and that you don't need Him...you are deceived **shrug** .
John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

You seem to be a nice, good person for having this state of mind caused by your belief. And belief suggests habitual obedience with no need for no reason or justification.

Under those circumstances I think God will let you in. But to be really sure, maybe you could also throw in good deeds and works in favor of other people, especially the needy.

I don't believe in a god who would deny entry to heaven simply because you don't believe in him.

What is more important to you, simply 'getting into heaven' or knowing the 'truth' or at least whatever is knowable, about god?

Because those are two different things.

I look at it this way, I do not believe in any angry, hateful, jealous god that the christians portray. Because to be quite honest, only the most childish people with mental health issues behave that way, and I do not believe that god is a bratty little kid with jealousy issues, lol.

Search your soul, that's all you were born with your soul and if you're lucky enough, a half decent brain ;) That is what god gave you and it should be enough to get you into heaven if there is one.

Believing in any deity alone is enough a point for God to not let you in already.

Believing in God without seeing God is the only way to go.
You can't be so selfish to worship any idol on the street and beg it for admittance to Heaven!

Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today my friend,
God is more than ready and happy to admit you into Heaven and bless you throughout your stay on Earth. So long you you fully believe in God and not other fake 'gods',I think it'll be ok.

God Bless.

God will not let you in Heaven. But, you sorta believe in Him, He will be kind enough not to put you in Hell either. He will keep you somewhere between those two.

Just because you fear Hell doesn't mean Hell is real. If someone is afraid that Freddy Krueger will kill him while he sleeps, does that mean Freddy Krueger is real? Do some thinking, son.

And do some research on the history of Christianity. The church invented Hell in the middle ages to keep their followers in line. There is no such place as hell.
