If there's a god that's plenty larger and greater enigmatic than any human would desire to probable understand. human beings attempt to superimpose their improper values and perception structures on a tension it is so fully un human. God isn't a guy or woman that's neither male nor lady, and that's not contained in as quickly as place or area. i discover many religious perspectives of what god is so simplistic that its frightening. The bible become written via adult adult males as a fashion to administration the plenty. those adult adult males had biases and ideology of their very own that are contemplated interior the text textile. i discover it form of surprising and perverted that individuals insist that "god suggested this and god suggested that." And "so and so sin is against gods will" How do you be attentive to? i think of those perspectives are overly humanizing a tension that cannot be understood.

I am a hard atheist about personal deities as depicted in religions. More of a soft atheist about a nonpersonal, deistic entity but still haven't seen any proof or convincing reasons to hold a positive belief in such. I think if there is a God as depicted in religion they should know whether someone is just saying they believe versus actually believing. I don't find Pascal's wager very convincing, useful, or a good reason to hold a belief. You either believe or you don't.

I believe in God.
My position is but dust and ashes before an eternal, holy, righteous, and just God. He made me. I have, however, sinned with my sinful nature and fueled the separation between God and me. My sin has made me a loathsome, miserable, and disgusting creature before my God, whose hate for the sin I enrobed myself increases the intensity of the Hell flames. I am insignificant.
As a result I am under a sentence of condemnation to these flames of Hell. Worse, I can neither work nor buy my way out of this sentence. I have no righteousness of myself.
Thank God for His love for me, however. For even though I am a sinner, alive still and not burning in Hell only by the good pleasure of God, He sent His Son to live a sinless life, and die a sin-bearing death for me. Jesus has already paid the price for my sins. Jesus Christ has risen, has been given dominion over all creation, and is my Lord.
Although I am but dust and ashes, the righteousness of Christ has been imputed to me, for I have faith in Christ. God the Father no longer sees my sins, but the righteousness of Christ. I am justified before the Father. I will inherit the kingdom of God, and serve the Lord for eternity. I have salvation from the just flames of Hell for which I was originally sentenced, all because of what Christ did for me -- and I believe in Him.
Without Christ, I am nothing. That is my position before God.

God is my refuge and strength a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
