You have to remember that the god in the old testament is not the same as the one in the new testament. The old testament god was for a desert tribe living under difficult conditions with other hostile tribes around them all fighting for the best land etc. Hence the Jews attempts, and they tried twice, to occupy Israel as it was the most fertile land they, with their limited knowledge of geography, knew about. By the time the new testament was written the Romans had occupied most of the known world and it was mainly a stable and peaceful existence so the god that the early Christians were preaching about was more to do with cooperation among men and looking after people. People or mainly religious leaders try to create the god that suits the situation best thus maintaining and increasing their power and influence

Over 60%?? Wow. I didn't know that. With that much reference to war, it shouldn't be hard for you to point out hundreds and hundreds of places in the Bible where this is the case. Oh yeah, I know there are many of them, but many doesn't come up to 60%

I admire the fact that the old testament ends "with a curse."
At least 60% of the boble is God ordered wars etc. The problem is not to find examples of this. The problem is trying to find parts where God ordered detruction is not the case.
I would challenge people to find those .
The first thing God does after creating a Paradise is to kick Adam and Eve out for eating fruit. The story continues from there.
Give me another thumbs down if you want more information people.

Hhhmm...
Maybe because of 60% of the Bible's people were disobeying Him and were committing themselves to idol-worshipping?
I dare not guess God's plan so I have to say I do not know.

All "holy" books reflect the attitudes of those who wrote them, so one can only assume that the authors of the books in the christian bible were brutal, warmongering psychopaths.
