a "green" TV series or movie that was about a family trying to live a "green" lifestyle? Do you think it would be beneficial if new movies used "green" vehicles in car chases, etc.? It seems the more examples out there, the more advertisement and exposure would increase the sale of these green products. Should we be asking TV and movie producers to choose these products?

Minority Report features green vehicles
actual real high performance sports cars; unfortunatly Lexus who built them keep very quiet about it; unlike BMWs used in Bond films.

The latter would be interesting (and it was quite something to note the Minority Report... didn't know that!) but the former.... another reality TV show or sensational journalism only goes so far and may, in the end, do more to damage the positive messages already being enforced. On the other hand, education is the key to understanding why some people are going "green" and why many others ought to consider the implications of leading this lifestyle. I do believe in leading by example, therefore the wise use of resources by TV and movie producers may lead to a renovation of thought by others.

To me it wouldn't make any difference because I don't buy any item based on popularity or commercials. Most people however make purchases based on their perception of what is fashionable so if movies portrayed small cars or green cars as the "in" thing their would be a rise in the amount that are purchased.
