There are other things that you can do that will help your tan. First is exfoliate your skin before you tan-it helps. Then just use a moisturizer before and after you tan. That will help. I've used high end tanning lotions and cheap ones and the expensive ones don't deliver that much better anyway. I personally don't like the lotions with bronzer, I don't think they deliver. If you use a cheap outdoor lotion, just make sure it is not oil based. The oil will damage the beds. Also make sure your salon changes their bulbs. Good bulbs make a world of difference and you are paying for it anyway, ask about when the last time they were changed and if a certain bed has hotter bulbs and then request that bed. Good luck.

The problem with that is most of the tanning salons will force you to buy their products or at least have brand name salon products before they will even let you use their beds. They claim the store-bought lotions from drugstores ruins their beds and make the glass crack. That claim could be entirely true for all I know or it could also just be something that all the salons have caught onto saying so that you'll have to spend more money in their store. Where else are you going to find those $40 bottles of tanning lotion besides another salon? The best and cheapest advice I can give you is to ask if they sell samples or even give free samples. My salon sells samples of all the products for $3-$5 each for people that want to try a new lotion brand first without paying for the full bottle. They just come in little plastic packs like the samples of shampoo and conditioner that you pull out of magazine ads. Your salon may even give out first time samples for free. It never hurts to ask!

I go to the indoor tanning salon, occasionally and feel the lotion you get there is a rip-off....price wise and supposedly, better tan.
I tried the enhancer once and it burnt like crazy, before I even started my session.
I use the one I bought at Walmart, for indoor tans. $10.99. All it is is a moisturizer and if you run out....just use a moisturizer, when you get home.
We all know the tans at Salons are not good for us, but I feel anything in moderation will not hurt.....as our good old sunshine can kill us too, if we get too much of it.

ya 20 min max... untill you get some color.. being so fair There are tons of lotions... to use for taning inside.. DO NOT use sunscreen... get a lotion from a actual tanning bed.. or at a walmart or something like that try to get something with "hemp" in it.. it help mosturize as well and you wont burn as easily!! Good luck o and a after tanning mosturizer is always something good to have just in case you get a little dry/ashy

I agree with astral.
With what you're doing, the type lotion doesn't really matter at all at this point, just get regular tanning lotion. It's at wal mart for like, $7...lol
Pretty much all lotions are safe...if they weren't, they wouldnt be selling them.
