no i don't believe it/they is/are due to the fact they are not worshipped or made as anything more then reminders, sharing of the talents God gave this artists. throughout the bible there were things created, items made/used they did not change the fact of the commandments. if the image becomes the center of worship and people actually place any significance upon it - then there is a problem. those that take things to the extreem and think that any image is wrong had surely better get off line for a lot of images are shot through the internet every moment ; )

Statues for sure. I think paintings also would fall under graven image, so any image of the lord would be violating the 2nd commandment including movies.

It is a matter of heart, not a matter of legalism.
Are you worshiping the statue, or the cross, or the actor who played Christ?

Yes, that's why in Islam we're not allowed to draw Prophets or make movies about them (hence the crazy riots that happened when someone decided to draw the Prophet anyway lol)

There's a slight difference between the fabrication of a symbol to represent ones faith, and actually worshiping that symbol. I know of no Christians who pray to a cross (Catholic tradition aside... most I talk to know that it's tradition and not part of true faith) and certainly none that pray to a movie.

im not sure. it says "don't take god's name in vain" but most of the time it is to honor this god of no existence. now, for all of those rappers and people who think they are gansta by wearing the crosses covered with bling, then ya, i think that is....

I forget which one it is.
Can you tell me which one tells you not to doubt God? Because I think that there are a lot of people here who doubt God. I think that is worse than any of them. :p

hookers and promiscuous women wear such biblical makeup and garments?
Sirach 26:9-10. "The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and eyelids. If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she abuse herself through overmuch liberty."
"For from garments cometh a moth, and from women wickedness. Better is the churlishness of a man than a courteous woman, a woman, I say, which bringeth shame and reproach." (Sirach 42:13-14)
