Calcium doesn't make your bones bigger, it just makes them stronger (actually officially it makes them more dense). Your bones are made of calcium phosphate, the more calcium you have the stronger your bones will be. The calcium in your bones is constantly being broken down, used by your body (particularily to make muscles contract - especially the heart) and replaced from your diet. It's important to get lots of calcium in your teenage years so that you have bones with lots of calcium in them, because as you age your body gets worse at using and absorbing calcium, so takes more from your bones.

If you have big or thick bones, don t think that it is because of milk/dairy or calcium. Your body needs calcium to STRENGTHEN your bones but it does not make your bones bigger. And if you have big bones and don t like them and want to make them smaller don t try to drink or eat less calcium thinking that they might get smaller because without calcium your bones grow weak no will break easily and you could hurt yourself.

Calcium makes your bones stronger. Weightlifting and weight gain make them both bigger and weighlifting in particular makes them stronger.
Enough calcium is important for when you get older.
