Their really sweet and the skin is not bitter like most plums, in the Victorian days Sugared Plums were given to children as a treat at Christmas time. They also hung them on the Christmas Trees.

To make Sugar Plums:

Take a food safe brush, and apply a thin coat of honey to the Plum then roll the plum in Sugar.

Sugarplums are small hand-formed candies made from minced dried fruit, nuts, and a little rum or orange liqueur. The candies can be coated with a topping like sugar, coconut, ground pistachios etc.. or just left plain.
